Every Soul Poem by Ann Beard

Every Soul

Rating: 5.0

Deep in the centre
of every soul.
Is a need to connect
with the world as a whole.
With colour and music,
affection galore.
In the guise of one special
old man we adore.
As Christmas approaches
a hush descends
Soft kisses like stardust
settle on friends.
In words that wrap hope
around fragments of fear.
I wish for world peace,
an abundance of cheer.
