Ever After Poem by Rachel Hankins

Ever After

Happily ever after came too soon
while they all danced drunkenly
under the light of the new moon
once the guy lost the girl
to a stupid lie
he held her in his arms
and begged her not to cry
after the hours of screaming
finally end
he hopes she will realize
to her
he was never just a friend
