Wasted Nights

You'd call me up
we'd go for a ride
I'd build you up
you'd break my pride
I wanted you
you pushed me away
fighting week after week
in the end you'd stay
you never needed me
I wanted you more
you said it was for the best
but you were never sure
w'd drive around for hours
always ending in a fight
in the end it was only
another wasted night
