Eternal Life Poem by Joann Carrano Passmore

One day I look forward to eternal life
And at my side will be my beloved wife
To have and to hold forever I pray
To love and to cherish for all of my days

I live my life so I can be at peace
For one day the breath I take will cease
I will venture into another zone
But I know I will not be alone

I will be reunited with the ones I love
And I believe this is God’s message from above
To follow the rules he set forth
The rules of the Ten Commandments of course

To live according to the Golden Rule
And to use the Bible as God’s holy tool
This is the pathway to God’s holy ground
And we must follow the rules if we want to be found

To live in a world free and tranquil
For God’s holy heaven we must be thankful
I will wait until the time
That once again you will be mine

I will abide by God’s rule
And use the Holy Bible as my tool
I will hope and dearly pray
That we will be reunited soon one day
