Etcetera Poem by prabhakar bhatlekar

Etcetera

Everything
was perfectly al-right,
going smooth.
Family, people etc.
Nothing to grumble about.
Then what was wrong with him?
Sitting in armchair, eyes fixed
on sealing, as if watching
upper-floor unseen people.
Imagining lower-floor folks.
Compartments stacked with
different lives- noisy, tired,
hungry, sleepy etc.
All so close, but far away.
Thousands of years back they
were tribes. Living different
life, hard to imagine.
Now all civilised- and thinking.
All new ways developed
for fights, wars, love, prestige,
democracy, nationality etc.
Giant wheel of time and life
moving on and on...
'Am I turning in to a well
maintained Robot? '
He thought-and thought again
'Someone can listen my mind
-through some micro recorder?
Soon some intricate machines
may began ruling all?
Some new life-system will
develop with no place
for men, women, children etc.? '

Soon some intricate machines may began ruling all? Some new life-system will develop with no place for men, women, children etc.? ' Verily, this may happen one day
