Estranged Poem by Irina Doichinova

Estranged

Rating: 4.0

I miss you -
It's so strange.
I've never even kissed you -
Does it make a change?

I remember
How it used to be
A sunny September
So dear to me.

The smell of leaves,
The colours so rich -
We shared the knowledge
Of a silent speech.

I miss you -
Does it make a change?
Now I want to kiss you,
Do you think it's strange?

The rain reminds me
How we huddled in a shelter -
Each others souls.
We loved the same things,
Yet I chose to go.

I miss you -
That can never change.
Even if I kiss you
We'll remain estranged.
