Escape To The Countryside Poem by sam gale

Escape To The Countryside

Escape to the countryside
A world of a different kind
where fairies fly the skies
sining their broken lies
Escape to the countryside
the mountains there you'll find
That pierce the endless skies
revealing all the empty lies

When the winter comes
the bitter cold will sting
The clouds shoot like guns
as the bullets full they'll ring
penerating the Earth's skin
as the puddles sing... sing... sing
They ring... ring... ring...
and sing... sing... sing...

Return to the city life
cutting the smock like a knife
Turning to the hidden stars
clouded by the fuming cars
Look to the broken smiles
of people living in denial
missing the puddle's ring
it's a tragic thing
