Escape Poem by Heather Rhoden

Escape

I have become broken,
Caused by this world again,
Inside I have died,
No one cares enough to wonder why,
I have begun to fight myself,
My thoughts have become my hell.

I have become unloved,
Tears now mix with my blood,
My voice is stolen by this ache,
No one cares enough about my heartbreak,
I can no longer handle the stares,
My soul offers no more prayers.

I have become unknown,
My feelings are becoming stone,
I'm no longer hurt by the stares,
I accept that no one cares,
I have only one escape,
This blade holds my fate.
