Epiphany Poem by Toyo Esuola

Epiphany

In the presence of wandering eyes
my heart skips a beat

A paragon of beauty before me
I feel a sudden rush of heat

Her grace is unparalleled
Her radiance has no limit

As I stare all frozen
In mind soul & spirit

She smiles, she laughs
I blush and then I sigh

For gazing at such an embodiment
Makes me so very high

She gives an angelic wink
As she saunters to me

My brain eludes my head
My speech deserts me

One thing is for sure
Am smitten all over

This feeling I hope
Stays with me forever
