Enough Racism Poem by Sugar Bear

Enough Racism

Rating: 5.0

Aggravated with the way some people look at each other
Sick to my stomach how they just stand there discriminating on one another
Knowing or unknowing the person they’re justifying against
If they don’t look alike they build a wall with certain limits
And once one breaks it borders the other turns to a panic
And screams out something defensive, racist, and tragic
Leaving be, the opponent full of ideas the person is racist
So they solve everything off of that border basic
If you’re black, be black, if you are white, be white
No need to pretend that you aren’t just to be accepted in life
This racism sickness is weak, a sign of shadowing fear
Pure jealousy of each other since you look differently somewhere
Accept the fact everyone’s just alike, Mexican, and Asian
We all breathe the same air, also God’s creations
You think people respect you since you disrespect some one else?
Then you walk around wondering why you hate yourself
Get your mind off the fact that this person has a color
Your house is a color, shirt is a color, and you are a color
Just because you can’t see all the colors in the rainbow
Doesn’t mean they aren’t there because you don’t see them show
And they all belong; all colors belong side by side
So you hateful critics get that beat in your mind
It doesn’t matter what people look like, they’re judged by their acts
And when you mistreat that truth it only makes you a sap
A virus, disease, searching for someone healthy
To keep your strength equally to what you want it to be
The type of hair on his or her head doesn’t make the person inside
The color of his or her hair doesn’t make their brain size
Anyone can be capable of what you’re able to do
So don’t judge the people equal to you
It’s getting old as each year goes by
Since more people are beginning to see people instead of color through their eyes
So quit you’re babying about how you dislike them about this or that
Because they may be saying the same thing about you behind your back
And if you’re black, stop cracking white hating jokes
And if you’re white stop mentioning to blacks slaves and ropes
And if you’re German don’t hate on the Hispanics
And if you’re anything don’t make fun of Indian team nicks
Get over the fact that you can’t beat them, and join them
Before you’re left alone in the world for using race as a weapon

Well put, well put. It's amazing this impenetrable wall that people place between themselves and other people who look different. You'd think that after thousands of years of 'civlization' we'd have gotten over all that. Instead it just seems to get worse. Maybe racist people need to take a minute to think about the real reason they feel they need to put somebody down or to discriminate. I'll be is has something to do with their own unhappiness.
