Enduring love or everlasting love
On surface
They seem identical
They share time
Appear timeless
Yet what defines each is different
Everlasting love
Says it lasted
Not how it lasted
What shape it’s in
Nor the trip along the way
Enduring love
Has been tested
It’s heart – challenged
It’s quality – questioned
There when not returned
There when needed
Through slings and arrows of this existence – ever true
Enduring love is the love that truly lasts forever.
