Endless String Poem by Dr. Harry Hamburger

Endless String

An angel visited in my sleep
I asked to learn lessons deep
Said, 'I have much in store
must follow me for something more'

Took to room with one door
ball of string on the floor
'Unravel the string until the end
hidden holy knowledge I will send'

Unwound the string through the night
room was filled, what a sight
string had no end at all
again the angel I did call

String appeared to be very long
infinite, like a never ending song
'Closer you come, further you go
this is lesson came to show'
