Endless Oceanic Waters Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Endless Oceanic Waters

Endless Oceanic waters
Wrapped around the world
Embracing the sandy beach
With each crash
Vestige of love
Trying to show
This self-abandonment
Of a Journey
Yet to be foretold

Blue visions
Peeking limitless view
Same color, vignettes
Scenery embellished
Where these dreams
Seek refuge

So far away in body
Yet, very close in soul
Yearning for your sweet misting embrace
Seizing empty residuals
Of your beauty's embrace
So far from these
Dreams ever being fulfilled

Endless Oceanic waters
My spirit roams
In dedication
Of this body
Someday being right there
Embracing the mist
Of a sacred kiss
Beyond anything
Ever imagined before

It has been so long
Guide me to your paradise

I yearn for an escape
To call my own

Endless Oceanic Waters
I am all but yours

Through these narrows
Open up
In the name of love

I long to be your abode

Take me away
Beyond body
All soul

Endless Oceanic Water
Seize me within
I am yours
My all
My love

Take me away
Forever, Yours

Together, let us flow
Never let me drown
From your love

Endless oceanic waters
My cure

Send me out of these narrows
Let's go

I will always, forever be yours
Let's go

Endless oceanic waters
I long to be your abode

Take me away
I am yours

My love beyond our own
Physical form

Someday they will only see my soul

…My love and all
