Endless Dream Poem by Tushar Ray

Endless Dream

The joy I felt the other day in my pleasant dream
Was an episode I couldn’t discount
Since so vivid was my feeling as if I was awaken
Which made me arrive at a firm conclusion that
All feelings must stem from the subconscious plane
Where all our desires display their eternal games
Mirroring upon the body in waking and dreaming
Creating an identical bodily feeling
Independent of state of our enacting consciousness

So, human life is more like an endless dream
And essentially is an endless game of mind
Experiencing good or bad at random in a chain
When good things bring joy, so we relish them
Gross things bring grief, so want to bury them
While scary ones make us helpless giving real pain
So, bond with difficult things of life in dream
Are as real as those in our waking schemes

So, I salute “You”, oh my mind
For teaching this great lesson in life
That our life is in the middle of a constant game
And controlling “You” we can control the same
By way of removing negativities in “You”
Following time-tested practice of Yoga-Medicine
Name of the game today is “Tame your own mind”
In order to achieve a life of unbroken bliss
And look for good days on earth looming ahead
Not too far from us where we are now!
