End Or Beginning? Poem by Roger A. Rose

End Or Beginning?

Exit the ways of connubial bliss,
and leave behind the ones you'll miss.
Remove yourself from hearth and home;
split the family and go off alone.

Shattering loss of love held dear
leaves spirit broken, filled with fear.
What now; start all over?
Begin a new life; find another?

The heart will heal, tho' it seems will not.
Tragedies of life, they're part of the plot.
Another will enter and quench the thirst
for happiness, far better than the first.
