Encasement Poem by Erin Stevens

Encasement

Poetry in silly calligraphy
Like snapshots of dreams
rimmed in ribbon and lace
like all of my memories
encased by a diary
a tapestry of verses
a placid, ice lake
that never ripples or sways
with time or decay
like the pendulum swinging,
rusting away
