Empty Absence Poem by Stephanie Blodgett

Empty Absence

Rating: 4.5

It wouldn’t go loud enough
The music I mean
Never seems to go loud enough
To sooth my painful screams

You can’t kiss away this pain
Oh how bad I wish you could
Cant gave me enough life to sustain
If possible I know you would

The seconds tick right by you and me
The beating of my heart slows
I’m running out of time you see
Only in my fearful eyes it shows

A smile spreads across my empty face
But only because I’m next to you
Soon I’ll be gone without a trace
Gone to a would brand new

No tears should fall when I leave
I promise I’ll never be to far
Never my absents you should grieve
I’m sorry, that’s just the way things are

I just wanted to leave you with this
You can always find me in this letter
Everything about you is everything I’ll miss
I couldn’t think of much else better…

Except maybe to simply say,
I’ll love you till my dying day
