Empty Poem by Sam Bustamante

Empty

December 26th 2030,
Dead In a one bedroom apartment,
No Note,
Alone,
Without Anyone To Love,
No One To Miss Him,
Just a poet in his own world for too long,
His thoughts eating away at him like maggots,
When he looks at his life he sees nothing but darkness,
But she was the light,
She made him feel wanted,
When he was with her his problems no longer mattered,
Instead all that mattered was the way her lips curled when she smiled,
How when she said 'I Love You' he would get lost in her never ending blue eyes,
Every moment they shared together he cherished,
Everything was perfect,
But nothing is infinite,
She'd started to tell him she loves him without even acknowledging him,
She no longer cared,
The light starts to dim,
Slowly until it is all once again just darkness,
For years it ate at him,
Nothing else mattered,
Only thing on his mind was her,
Her beauty,
The way she would lick her lips.
And how he would give anything to kiss them one more time,
How she was probably with some other guy,
Him not caring about whether or not everyday is perfect,
All he could think about was how much he missed her,
Until he couldn't take it anymore,
December 26th 2030,
Dead in a one bedroom apartment,
No Note.
