Emptiness Pervades Poem by Jihene Khammassi

Emptiness Pervades

My empty world cries:
'Vacant spaces'.
My sun dies.
Struggle, defeat and cries.
I roam the worlds
No lights but a piercing breeze
My heart dries.
Meaning dies
Knowledge lies.
My presence swells
Filled with emtiness
And cries, and cries.
Sudden, fallen, speechless
Existence decays.
I, caught in prisms
Irrational visions,
See the worlds otherwise
Feel different realms:
I see the sun red-eyed,
With people unjustly dead
I see the sky mauve
Fissured by God's wrath above
I see my white flower endeared
Once white with peace
Now white with unease
It slaughters
My senses
And my life emprisons.
