Embers Poem by Gregory Huyette

Embers

As I sense the here and now,

I can’t help but marvel how

This moment rose like an ember,

Once extinguished, few remember.

Though the warmth from its glow

Lives here and now if we know

That in this life all-to-fast

We must sense embers while they last.
