Elderly Musician Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Elderly Musician

The elderly musician shuffles along
Needing 'a someone' who is healthy and strong,
Someone to help him cope with each day.
Someone to make his mornings less grey.
Not long ago, he played his last song
Now he is older, all talents have gone.
Tears tumble down ~ a continuous stream!
And 'Ave Maria' is just a past dream.
But his name and his work
Are printed in typeset.
The Media and Encyclopedia
Will never-ever forget.
