Egotistical God Poem by Chris Marion

Egotistical God

Rating: 5.0

My every wish is your command
I've got you eating out of the plam of my hand
You spend your life on your hands and knees
When you mess up, you are begging me please
Forgive me father, for I have sinned
I swear that I will never do it again
You spend your life on the clean and narrow
Walk the thin line, straight as an arrow
A righteous life, only time will tell
Maybe Heaven, Probably Hell
You think I hear your every prayer
When infact I don't even care
Once you have sinned, you cannot repent
For that mistake, to Hell you be sent
No Heavenly Angels, singing in choir
Just blistered red flesh, burning in fire
For the rest of eternity, here you will stay
For the sin you mistakenly committed today
No paradise, no equality, no life after death
Just time after time of gasping for breath
You're screaming and crying for all this to stop
In life you succeded, you came out on top
You had your ideas, your own frame of mind
Not of the sinister, but different than mine
I am almighty, I am supreme
How dare you come up with a different dream
Of one that is just, and equal, and free
To get off your knees, and stop praying to me
I created life, I do as I chose
If you don't listen, too bad, game over, you lose
I know I am wrong, and unjust, and unfair
But, do as I say or be doomed to dispair
