Eerie Cyclone Spent Stillness Beats Loud Poem by Terence George Craddock

Eerie Cyclone Spent Stillness Beats Loud

Rating: 5.0

after the cyclone

wind blows hours violent
snapping trees like match sticks
throwing cars trucks like pees
the world is devastated silent

nature rests quiet
birds refuse to sing
survivors seek
quiet time to rest

an eerie cyclone
spent stillness beats
loud in wind shock
ravaged spent air reset

Hopefully Dillip will like the poem 'The Sacred Vitality Of Life' then, another short dedication poem.

As I am thankful for your poem. I live in an earthquake zone, with many memories of childhood earthquakes; that strange stillness after a cyclone is similar to the stillness after large earthquakes, when nature stops before a reset.
