Eclipse Poem by Valsa George

How we used to sit by the side of a jumping cataract
Watching the sunlight dancing through the smoky vapour
With every droplet mirroring a spectrum of shades
And sat dreaming of a time when we will be made man and wife
Never knowing you would vanish out from my sky like a rainbow.

You were like a candle that glowed luminous
Emitting undeniable light of love and warmth
Your grace was like fresh snow gently falling
On the fringes of leaves and the petals of roses
And you shone on me like the light of a harvest moon

Now when I see the homing bird that comes to join its mate
And listen to the notes of a nightingale from the deserted wood
I think of you and slip into an abyss of agony and longing
With waves of commotion swirling in my head
And I see my sky suddenly turning stygian black.

When the setting sun in its twilight glows
When the waning day's last glorious rays enclose
I seek you in the hovering silence and seclusion of my life
And wonder if love adrift and lost in the air
Will return once more to alight upon a shattered heart....

I take my valuable time to read a poem like this, which is very pleasant and rich in natural imagery and personal feelings. First of all let me congratulate you madam for having the rank today #428 on top 500 poets of the world as per database information. Always I feel very happy seeing you at top. The title of this poem is very attractive and this has great value as this poem beholds the quality of reflection of a ray that is an obscuring ray of the light from one celestial body.

The state of seclusion, every creature likes to bring in life with twilight at this moment of love of nature. Either moored or steered mind releases essence of love into the air and this gives us wonderful perception. Love released into air whispers in silent echo and silence paints the alive hope. Very upset or exhausted mind once again keeps hope to behold lost love in light of sunbeam next day. A great and splendid poem this is. I am astonished reading it.

Its source of illumination is sun. Through vapour sun rays are reflected and danced by brighter glow. The smoky vapour looks so dreamy in sunlight and we feel the illumination. Then the rainbow is formed giving the beam of dream. Various colours motivate mind and poetic mind starts singing. A candle that glows it expels the darkness and gives us wonderful reflection of light to visualize things. Luminous ray glows inside fresh snow when sun shines at East. (P-2)

Hi valsa, I hope you are well, Really the pen is speechless to write anything about this lovely poem, every things in it are beautiful and heart touching, it is very poignant and well penned, honestly we can find here some true poetic phrases written by the ink of a big heart full of love and loyalty, I like your fantasy metaphoric style which is different than the many others, it deserves a full mark and top place on my fav list
