Earth Day (By Akhtar Jawad) Poem by Akhtar Jawad

Earth Day (By Akhtar Jawad)

Who says, you are too old,
My mother is still jewelry of gold,
I love your each and every scenery,
I promise to increase the greenery,
For your children you're still a shelter,
May be my ancient ascendant a settler?
But I am proud to be your son,
Dear mother! I beg your pardon,
For the dangerously increasing pollution,
I am working hard and looking for a solution,
I hope soon the wastes will be low enough,
I'm conscious of your sickness I listen to your cough,
Soon I shall repair your damaged blanket
Mother, I know you need a thick ozone belt.
