Eagle's Eyes Poem by G J Salgado

Eagle's Eyes

She opened the windows to her soul through an eagle's eyes
Soaring above she heard the Phoenix's cries
Inside the darkness she emerged as something new
With the wings of the dark sparrow she flew
The moon howled back at her through the voices of the black wolves
Their paws pounded upon the earth as did the silver horse's hooves
They ran as fast as the storms inside her mind
A few hours born unto thousands of years they would find
Everything and everyone that once lived was but an illusion
Time and science concluded that once her wings met the sky it was all the perfect collision
