Each Single Day Poem by Victoria Gauci

Each Single Day

Rating: 4.5

Getting through each single day
Realizing you don’t love me
Has put me in a dizzying haze
You’ve put yourself above me

Through the years of hoping for
Finding you in this world so wide
Hoping you were looking for
The friendship that I held inside

I’ve waited for the phone to ring
Hoping for a simple sign
Praying for a song to sing
So my heart can reassign

All that I held tightly to
In the years I waited for
All the years of missing you
For peace to be restored

Now here I am alone again
Realizing you don’t love me
Once again wondering when
God’s grace and you will hug me.
