Dysfunctional Strength Poem by malcomess mantewu

Dysfunctional Strength

Rating: 4.0

I've been to the edge of the cliff.
I have seen what demons do to you when you refuse to be submissive to their clamorous demands.
I have witnessed dysfunctional people functioning in a dysfunctional system.
I have seen broken people who were so eager to mend the world.

I have seen beautiful flowers growing and blossoming in dirty and neglected places.
I have witnessed little birds taking the leap of faith and spreading their little wings.
Faith like a mustard seed will get you out of your dark tunnels, and that is not what I've made up but have learnt along the way.

Fake smile keeps them hater's at bay.
Fake laugh reminds my enemies that you can still party up a storm even when you are in a middle of a heavy storm.
With every step I take forward, I know I am shaking the enemy's camp.
I'm a moving target that's why it's so hard for them to hit their target.
I am broken but that is not my chanting mantra, my mantra is very simple and easy to recite, I survive the worst everyday so that means I am stronger than I was yesterday.
My mantra is simple, 'Keep going until you reach your destination'
'Keep going until you reach your destination'!
