Dynamic Ribbon Poem by Danny Draper

Dynamic Ribbon

Rain kisses silent ruby parched gasps
Over ochre horizons bereft of hope
Your golden promises fill loveless pores
Garden barren, greens against futility
Bespeaks and belies cruel azure skies
Illuminated Indigofera twitches from raindrops
Vision the violet, gay and resilient.

This is so finely tuned language that I could read many times and find something new each time. This speaks of disappointment (volumes to me) Bespeaks and belies cruel azure skies. I can honestly state that I think you are one of the finest wordmeisters I've ever read and feel I understand (to the levels of my capabilities) and this is one of the reasons why (Illuminated Indigofera twitches from raindrops) I kid you not one of the most perfect lines I've ever read. It's actually been good to read some of your works as I'm more comfortable in my grasping your meaning. That microscopic detail is poetic perfection to me. Karen
