Dung Pile Song Poem by Mark Nichols

Dung Pile Song

I am hunting gathering
Roam the earth and happ'ly sing
O all I want is there for me
All I ask for nature bring O

Big pile, big dung pile
How'd it happen such short while?
I'm on top of a big dung pile
Big pile, big dung pile
Got so big in a little while
Big pile, big dung pile!

Now I sit on a big dung pile
Where do you come from big dung pile?
I'll be shoveling you a while
Big pile, big dung pile!

Nuts and berries grow on trees
Big dung pile how'd you come to be?
Roots and figs and honey bees
How did you get so big to me?

Big pile, big dung pile
Sheep and goat and ox and pig
O dung pile how'd you get so big?

Roaches, flies, and rats and fleas
Now I sit in my disease
I was wild and I was free
Oh dung pile how'd you bury me?

O I could hunt and gather free
O dung pile how'd you come to be?
