Drowning Poem by Elizabeth Fletcher

Drowning

My heart is heavy.
There goes the levy
That shared the weight
Of all my pain and hate.
Hope is obviously fading
As you can see my tears now cascading.
Trying to scream and shout!
Begging for a way out
None are to be found
And so I begin to drown.
Too much sorrow
I pray I don't wake tommorrow
But I do
I always do
