Dreams Poem by Taher Shemaly

Dreams

may my sadness will settle one day
away, just far away as it could have been
in a world of dreams going to stay
with memories of childhood I've never seen
yet while my hopes are never left away
on the shores of an old broken scene
dreams, only dreams, and to fade are they

once upon a time there was a smile
glancing in heaven and earth of mine
just by time and time was so enough
to make it vanish before I get enough
and yet my hopes are as ever left away
on the shores of an old drying bay
dreams, only dreams, and to fade are they

dream upon dream and thus to heaven
within the stream of love so rapidly goes
and there in horizon I thought a place is waiting
where the prison of the heart with mercy opens
but to the pillow my head goes down smitten
with reality couldn't I just change like the winds
because dreams, only dreams, and to fade are they

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
