Dreams Poem by Amol Ichalkaranje

Dreams

Rating: 4.5

In the dreams my heart often sails
To a land serene where hope never frails
Deep beneath the woods, lush and green
Dwells a girl with a feiry sheen.
She sings, she sways and while she smiles
A dimple plays beneath her twinkling eyes.
In awe, I gaze at her pretty face
Her coiffed hair and the girly grace.
With her eyes on me, my heartbeats rise
Her amused vibes clear my million dark skies.
The love in my eyes knew no bound
I lost my world, then her I found.
Her soothing touch, her tender care
Her unfeigned affection unveils the love so rare.
Hand in hand for hours we lie
Drowned in love as time flies by.
No worldy care, no arid streaks
As thousand words her silence speaks.
Soon her presence blurs, so does the world fake
With a heavy heart, feeling gloomy I wake.
From dawn to dusk, I wonder why
The pain is real and the bliss was a lie.
If dreams are all that brings her to me
Then dream is where, I'll wish to be.

Beautiful romantic train of thought, well articulated and nicely penned from the heart. A lovely poem with good rhyme scheme. Thanks for sharing Amol. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
