Dreams Poem by Aanuoluwa Adebanjo

Dreams

We've had dreams we don't want to wake up from
We've had dreams which we wish to become a reality
We've had dreams which can be very dreadful
We've had dreams which can keep us awake all night
We've had dreams we never want to have again
We've had dreams so good to disappear from
We've had dreams so beautiful to let go
We've had dreams we want to live in forever
Dreams come and go
And sometimes they steal our hearts away
They sometimes give us hope on seeing the impossiblities possible
They sometimes light up our spirit
And make us good as new
They can make us want to sleep forever
But sometimes they can be frightening
They can keep us awake never to sleep again
They can be scary and breathe taking
Dreams come in different ways and dimensions
They can come in a flash
And sometimes in a wave
Dreams are unpredictable
