Dreams Poem by Garrett Bradley

Dreams

As I wallow through the depths of my mind
I encounter a door that leads to the sublime
Foolishly I enter unaware of the sign
That just simply stated those enter may die
While exploring the profundity that awaited inside
I met a man who was cockeyed
He told me that he was to be my guide
And this was a request that I should have denied
He showed me a profusion of deranged images
The pictures were more horrifying than anything from 'The Grudge'
T stood there gazing at them fearfully
And as I stood there he silently preyed on me
I turned around and there stood not the man
But a large, demonic Gargantuan
Breathing heavily he recited hi plan
'I'm going to kill you, chop you up, and throw you in a frying pan'
Deeply frightened I started to run
But when I looked back I was profoundly stunned
It was crazy, I was running in slow motion
And the monster was moving faster than Air Force One
He got closer and closer i knew it was over
My life was through there would be no do overs
And just before I was devoured by the beast
I woke up, my dream had ceased
