The Voice Poem by Garrett Bradley

The Voice

There is a voice inside my head
It is loud and eloquent
Yet no one can hear it but me
Everyday it says only one thing
'Kill'
But when I ask who he replies
'Kill'
Stress and tension build as I search for the answer
My eyes are bloodshot and dark circles begin to form around them
My dirty hair complements my horrendous exterior
Pain fills my body to the point where I can barely stand
And still the voice says
'Kill'
So I kill
Myself
