I placed an idol in the temple of my heart,
While ages passed in the darkness of negligence
The buds kept showing promise
But they never fully bloomed into poetry of love,
Every dark age will pass away
Black clouds will part to reveal abundant light,
Birds will flock in unison to measure miles
While my dreams will transform and unite
Into a lark which spreads its wings far and wide
I pay obeisance to every verse left unuttered
Through them I keep trying to trace my unknown love,
Myriads of petals which lie scattered in the hall of life
Days will pass like the blink of an eye
Years will vanish into the sea of time
After every dark hour we say “It was all but a dream”,
There is eventual bliss behind the silver lining;
Once this colourful life is over, as a portrait in the hall
My next self will restate on reading these lines
“It was all but a dream”.
