Dream Girl Poem by Khirod Dalpati

Dream Girl

Rating: 4.0

Haven't seen her any time before
Yet keep dreaming to make her mine;
Hoping to see her around sometimes
When clouds have passed by the sun.

Yesterday, I just rang up to her
And asked her - how she was?
She replied with a sweet loving voice
Telling me - the same as I was.

Horror and fight movies are her likes
Yet she seems to be so simple;
Her laugh and talk of innocence
Are like the church bells that jingle.

How long will I keep loving her?
How long? Even I don't know
Till the day breaks by the mountain,
May be till the melting of the snow.

The same reality with most people but opined elegantly here. You just took the words out of many mouths and ornamented with your brilliant poetry. Thanks for this impressively unavoidable work of poetry.

I enjoyed this....Fluxive structural movement throughout, and a simple theme but one that is expressed with much substance ~FjR~

Thank you for your Comments Sir, I just opened your library of poems and found beautiful poems from a great poet and this one Woman in the night singing songs to a lamp post, waiting for a reprise of ''1984''. For Big Brother, ....Ziggy - his Spiders From Mars. And she knows she'll never live those times again... still she freeze-frames it all in the Stardust of her mind - Such is Life......................... Beautiful. If you could kindly read my other poems and guide me with your comments... I shall be blessed....
