Dream Poem by David Gibbs

Dream

Not with me
But at me,
Not beside me
But before me,
You scoff a dreaming heart.

Spurn me,
Abuse me,
Point at
And accuse me,
Dreaming hearts are free to move on.

Laugh with me,
Not at me,
Walk beside,
Not before me,
And do not take me to,
A dream dreamt in a dreamless state.

Do you dream?
Do you scream?
In the night,
All alone,
Close your eyes and wander through the stars.
