Dragon's Watch Poem by Nuku Desmond

Dragon's Watch

I watch from above
Those loathesome creatures
The humans that is
Their world called Destruction
Corruption
Tower of Lies
Bang Bang
Another gun
Another spurt of life fluid
Flowing crimson out of a now lifeless body

Their ancestors hunted me
Wanted my hide
Gleaming treasure too
They think us extinct
But still are we here
Ever watching...
Ever searching...
For a time where we may come out
Of our hiding place

When they 'finished' us off
Did they move onto others?
To hunt?
Kill?
Yes...
And no.
They're destroying other species
Yet destroying their own
These cruel creatures
The humans that is
When will they stop?
When will they appreciate the world made
By the Creator?
We cannot say
We serpents of the air
Do not understand

Maybe someday
The destruction will cease
And we can all live
In peace
Maybe...
....someday.
In the near future?
I don't think so...
Who's to say?
It's hard to tell
Between our self-created heaven
Or forever killing hell?
