Down Poem by GREY FOG

Down

Down

Down this earth, where almost everything happen outside
I lock myself up within four grey walls with a hole in one of them
Pretending to be witnessing the world from inside
From this place, every time I take a look down the world,
I can only see them moving, going and coming back
As melancholia was filling my empty heart,
I found myself among the people
A given chance to experience the people's lives
I switched personalities a few times
Experiencing the broken heart's personality to the luckiest man alive one
As if it wasn't enough, I had to choose one of these personalities I have experienced
As if I couldn't live the good and the bad things at the same time
As if I was created to know a unique reality
From what I have known, I want my personality be a bit of every one of them
I realize that love is nothing if you just love in an only way
And if I can't be the smallest part of every single personality I know about,
I would rather go back to "this" place where my heart feels nothing
This place where I am empty of everything
This place from where I can look there,
Down.
