Doorways Poem by Howard Kern

Doorways

first there is youth full of life,
middle age brings compliance.
kids bring tolerance of the unthinkable,
an empty nest brings freedom,
as solititude turns to lonleyness.
Golden years have great luster,
with death knocking on the door.
is it frightning?
Maybe it's a welcome friend.
live your whole life Golden,
then and only then,
you will find out...

There are many doorways in life but death is also a doorway to enter to another life, a heavenly life.
