Don't Forget To Say Goodbye (On Your Way To Heaven)

Rating: 5.0

Don't forget to say goodbye, on your way to heaven
Even though it may make me cry, it's better than forgetting

I recall, where memories are stored
Special moments spent with you
And the smile that danced across your face, to brighten up my day
All the love that we shared / I love you so

Don't forget to say goodbye, on your way to heaven
Even though it may make me cry, it's better than forgetting

Let the rain fall to hide the tears that I cry
Let the sunshine blind the tears that don't dry
Let the angels sing, their choir free to play / their universal hymn

I'll always remember, in that place where things are stored
All the moments that we shared, the colours that you wore
The smile upon your face, and the love that we had

You spilt the wine, you broke the cup, a song or two remain
You could have had the world you know, instead you left it pain
The sound of life, it whispers now, a new born baby cries
Maybe it cries for you, a birth so you may die...

... sleep well Christopher.

Don't forget to say goodbye, on your way to heaven
