You can't expect me to be something I'm not,
This is who I am and this is what you've got.
I won't pretend to be someone else's dream,
So that I can help with your self-esteem.

You said that you love me because I am me,
If that's really true, than please let me be.
Doing everything differently feels so strange,
So as you can see I'm never going to change.

Love me for who I am that's all I can ask,
And I won't give you such an impossible task.
You're the one I love because of who you are,
So don't change for me and you'll always be a star.
