Done Being. Poem by Jodie Louise Pollock

Done Being.

Rating: 3.5

Hearing it so close yet so far away,
Maybe it will continue to disappear further, day after day?

Seeing no more what the eyes really want to see,
Maybe the mirror really has turned, maybe that's me?

Feelings burning your soul and smouldering your heart,
Maybe it weren't meant to be, we were meant to part?

Smelling the dying roses from that one fine morning,
Maybe I should have hayfever, stop all this longing,

Tasting that sweet, tender filled kiss,
Maybe, just maybe, life doesn't get any better than this?

Hearing, seeing, feeling, smelling, tasting, all with ing, doing,
Present? No. Past, with the ed's, the no mores, and the done being.
