Don'T Judge A Book By It's Cover Poem by Eve Smith

Don'T Judge A Book By It's Cover

I hope you know me for who I am.

A random girl from this random town.

Probably not a great story, to judge by the blurb.

Just me and my thoughts trying to be heard

My words are true.

Believe them as others do.

My name's not special.

My face won't hold your eyes.

But lets hope books and their covers aren't how you summarize.

Books may become a thing of the past As technology decides what will last But a person is more than just a flashy jacket That entices the reader to pause a bit. So, not with books that are going away I hope you and your poetry are here to stay And you will write more as time permits For all to read and think about it.
