Don't Forget The Rum Poem by Jay Easter

Don't Forget The Rum

In wine there is wisdom
In whiskey there is fight
Beer builds brotherhood to carry you through the night.
Tequila brings a spiciness that confuses love and hate
Vodka lends a helping hand and let's you stay up late
But oh don't forget the rum.
The salt filled air and sailor song. The rounds of mugs and wenches all night long.
So hoist a few against the dark and clear the cobwebs from your heart.
When life is short and friends are few....
Oh don't forget the rum.
