Don't Ever Come Again. You Old June Poem by Sumaila Mohammed Rashad

Don't Ever Come Again. You Old June

Look!
Don't ever come again! You old June
For when last you came
You brought murk tidings
That whirled the foundation of our hearts
And opened the tear gates of our eyes

Come not again
For we despise your dark times
That per forced many from their climes,
And aborted budding dreams
Yet to be driven to the seams.

Come no more!
For we hugged you into our hut
Knowing not you have a rusted heart
That smiles roar
And nails the entire earth
Into an aperture of pain

Don't ever come again!
For you came to marry
Hell to the berserk rain
And enjoined them not to fain
As you took our mirth
And bartered it with your hearth

Don't ever come again!
Hark!
Stay in the mure!
And spare our meek hearts, the fissure
And the indelible imbrue
Of blood-blue.
