Don’t do this to us, don’t keep me away,
I don’t know why I love you more everyday.
The aches in my heart, the scars that I bore,
Are open unlike yours that you hide behind your secret door.

Don’t do this to us, don’t keep us apart,
It’s like famine in my heart and the rain won’t start.
It’s tough to hide love and try to hate,
It’s tougher to feel the pain everyday and still wait.

Don’t do this to us; don’t tell me things that are not true,
Why are there tears in the eyes where love once grew?
Please don’t keep me in dark so that my hope disappears,
I hope that one day you will see the love behind my tears.
