Don'T Poem by jayne jenkins

Don'T

Don't turn the light on
Don't shut the door
Don't you ignore me
'cos I've been here before.

The door slammed behind me
The light flickered on
A madman stood here laughing
And then that man was gone.

You should have listened to me
I told you to stay away
But I knew the tales of a haunted house
Would attract someone someday.

And now it's too late to run home
'cos that madman's here again
He has a knife to cut you up
And cause you lots of pain.

You'll look around and wonder why
There's no-one else to see
Then feel a fool when you realise
That the MAD madman is ME!
